EFFECTIVE METHODS OF PROTECTION FROM TECHNOGENIC ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION AND INFORMATION-WAVE DIAGNOSTIC METHODS

Nowadays it is necessary to protect oneself from technogenic electromagnetic radiation. In some cities the rate of radiation exceeds the limit dozens and hundreds times. The situation is the same at some workplaces with high electromagnetic background causing a decline in the body’s adaptation power, and, as a result, reduces working capacity or requires a considerable effort from the worker’s body’s adaptation mechanisms to carry out functional duties.

One can protect oneself from electromagnetic radiation with the help of device invented by Russian scientists – the "VITA" bioenergetic protection device (Patent No. 2146952 of March 27, 2000; Hygiene Certificate of the Ministry of Health of the RF of 18.01.2000).

How can we measure the influence of technogenic radiation on the human body and assess the protection efficiency of those devices specially designed for this purpose? An indicator of electromagnetic radiation influence is the human body itself, but it is better to diagnose it with equipment based on the measurement of frequency characteristics as it is necessary to analyze the instantaneous result of electromagnetic radiation influences and to assess the protection device’s efficiency. The "ROFES" diagnostics instrument and method meets such requirements.

The "ROFES" (recorder of function and emotional state assessment) set of hardware and software electroacupuncture diagnostics was invented at the "Altaim" research and production enterprise (Ekaterinburg) in 1995 on the basis of collaboration with the All-Russian Nuclear Center – the Russian Research Institute of Technical Physics, the Ural State Medical Academy, Novosibirsk Medical Institute, and military unit 25714. In 1998 it was included in the State List of Medical Products – certificate No. 98/219-125. It is widely used all over Russia.

Method of express-diagnostics with the "ROFES" set is aimed at detection of deadaptation syndrome and allows a complex assessment of the degree of strain on adaptation processes, a quantitative and qualitative assessment of adaptation irregularities, and to interpret the nature of changes detected.

The diagnostic method is based on the assessment of the human body’s functional state according to the results of analysis of the electroacupuncture effect upon corporeal biologically active points (BAP) of 12 main paired meridians of the human body and/or their projective zones according to the Su Jok method. This is performed with the help of active and passive electrodes, where an active electrode is applied to the particular point. The "ROFES" software (certificate of RosAPO No. 970188 of 28.04.97) records the result of BAP reaction changes and analyzes it. The analysis of information obtained about the reaction of BAP to the electroacupuncture bipolar effect is conducted on the basis of mathematical processing of amplitude currents oscillation in the floating time interval – "saturation point" search.

The principle lies in the analysis of individual BAP adaptation to provocative direct and reverse polarity currents, which are expressed in the low-frequency spectrum, processed by software and correspond to the state of organs and the body’s systems. The adaptation mechanism is explained thus: a living biological system such as a human being, unlike the static system of an inanimate biochemical environment, will change its electrochemical resistance not gradually but intermittently, because any living system tends to adapt to environmental changes, in this case for current, at the expense of adaptation mechanisms. In this case, the body tries to stabilize the point’s state – its electrochemical resistance at a particular level, equivalent to the provocative current strength.

Thus, the program records BAP frequency characteristics emerging as a result of bipolar current provocation, i.e., the meridional system frequency spectrum is analyzed. The period of BAP stabilization (reduction of oscillation amplitude to the minimum) may vary depending on the state of organs and systems controlled by the measured meridian, as well as on the emotional state of the patient.

Obtained with the help of the "ROFES" set, the spectral portrait of the body’s meridional system is the result of the individual reaction of a living biological system to environmental impact at the very moment of measuring. That is why analysis of the multi-frequency spectrum obtained and operational multi-frequency respond-correction to abnormalities revealed in the frequency characteristics allows a living biological system’s functions to be restored on a real-time basis.

The meridional system itself will control multi-frequency response correction, and the reaction of this system will be recorded under biological feedback conditions in the present situation. Obtaining a normal functional state by controlled biological points according to the result of initial diagnostics will characterize the normalization process of organs and systems for which the meridional system of the human body is responsible.

Description of integral patient diagnostics with "ROFES":

Index of a person’s level of harmony as a balance of his internal states – physiological and mental – in response to environmental conditions.

Index of readiness to carry out vital functions.

The lower the AP index is, the deeper the person’s destabilized structures are.

It is very difficult for a person with low AP to carry out vital functions, or they are carried out with lose of energy resources necessary to support the body’s vital functions.

For adults, low AP index shows predisposition to high degree of personal anxiety when perceiving environmental factors. The higher the AP index is, the more harmonious the person’s structures are.

Functional state is the total of components of the body’s medical (clinical) states and its psycho-emotional background, i.e., the dynamic balance of the body as a living system under changing environmental conditions – "homeostasis". It is being assessed according to a 5-point system:

• good
• satisfactory
• unsatisfactory
• recovery is needed

Diagnostic conclusions obtained from the "ROFES" system are used not only in medical establishments, but also for access control in hazardous processes in psychophysical laboratories of the All-Russian Nuclear Center in Snezhinsk and the Beloyarsk atomic power station in Ekaterinburg, and also in special-purpose military units as a method of psychosomatic state objectivization. The speed of measurement and objectiveness of obtained data regarding the body’s adaptation reserves allow the "ROFES" system to be used in different research and scientific experiments.

In May and June 2002, tests of the "VITA" bioenergetic device were successfully carried out. This device allowed the deleterious effect of technogenic electromagnetic radiation affecting special-purpose military pilots ("Kubinka" aerodrome) who had passed rigorous selection according to their health, to be significantly reduced. Tests were approved by flight security service of the Russian Air Force (Minutes of tests of May 22 and June 9, 2002). The "ROFES" system was chosen as an objectivization method for the results of the "VITA" protective device’s use.

The tasks set by the experimental work were the following:

1. Determination of the level of protection from electromagnetic radiation influence generated by the airplane on the functional state of the pilot’s body with the help of the "VITA" technogenic influence protective device.
2. Determination of the special unit’s pilot’s adaptation reserves when conducting flights on Su-27 and L-39 planes and the increase in their adaptation level when using the "VITA" technogenic influence protective device.

The group examined consisted of 16 pilots from the special CPAT MO RF unit. The number of flights was 48. The number of readings – 96. The following results were obtained:

Indices of the functioning integral characteristics of the pilot’s body – "Adaptation Potential" and "Functional State" – calculated after measuring with the "ROFES" system, were the following:

For all the special-purpose unit’s pilots participating in the experiment, initial indices before the flight were good (average AP for the group – 39% and functional state "satisfactory" to "good"). After the first flight without the "VITA" protective device, the integral indices for all the pilots remained virtually the same. During the next flight one part of the pilots (the first group) used the "VITA" protective device, and the rest did not (the second group). The results showed that in the first group integral characteristics increased (adaptation potential 60% and increase in vegetative-emotional tone), in the second group the integral characteristics slightly declined.

After the third flight, integral characteristics in the first group of pilots still remained high, and there was a gradual decline in the second group. During other flights the tendency was the same.

C o n c l u s i o n s

1. The research discovered an objective law: the use of the "VITA" protective device against technogenic influence during the flights of fighter pilots shows positive dynamics in the body’s functional state when it is used.
2. "VITA" is an effective and safe device for protection against electromagnetic radiation, generated by a plane, and it does not influence its capabilities.
3. The effectiveness of the "VITA" device allows the number of flights for pilots to be increased without damaging their adaptation capacity. The participants in the experiment noticed that "VITA" was an effective and safe device for protection against electromagnetic radiation generated by a plane, it improved the functional state of the pilots and increased the fatigue threshold; it potentially reduces the accident rate of flights and in this connection it would be advisable to use it in military aviation. Thus, it can be objectively stated that "VITA" is an effective protective device against the technogenic electromagnetic influence of an operating plane on the body of a pilot under extreme highly-skilled flying aerobatics.

SUMMARY: Using the "ROFES" system electric puncture software, the authors studied the functional state of pilots with the "VITA" protective device, assessed before and after flights. The data obtained proved the efficiency and safety of the device in improving the pilots’ functional state, increased their fatigue threshold, and enabled a higher number of flights to be conducted.
